Course Summary

This qualification prepares you for roles as a Personal Care Attendant, Carer, Individual Support worker or Community and Resident Support Worker.

  • 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
  • 26 weeks duration (includes 120 hours of practical placement at an aged care or disability care facility)
  • Class times: 9.30am to 3.00pm
  • Course starts February 2026. Rolling admissions are available until classes reach full capacity.

  • Locations: Yarraville / Tarneit / Footscray
  • Face to face / Hybrid / Online study options. Online evening also available.
  • Face to face for practical

The qualification

To be awarded this qualification, learners must successfully complete a total of 15 units of competency (includes 9 core and 6 electives). This program uses a range of delivery methods including face-to-face training, group discussion, individual questioning, group activity, simulation, online learning, handouts and practical placement.
