Bio
Jessie has an extensive background in the arts and community sector having worked across a range of areas including venue, event, and theatre management, producing, strategy development, community development, programming, youth work and scenic art.
Jessie spent the last 15 years working in local government at Hobsons Bay City Council across a range of areas, primarily venues in the Arts and Culture space. With an established track record of developing and nurturing strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, securing federal, state, and local government funding for sector-wide projects. Jessie has overseen several large-scale Capital Works projects including technical fit outs, heritage building and theatre renovations.
Jessie is also a multi award winning artist who is known for her needlepoint depictions of the Industrial and suburban landscapes of Melbourne’s west and was awarded the Civic Art Award in 2024 by Maribyrnong City Council for her artistic contribution to the city.
