AMEP is funded by the Australian Government and provides free English language lessons to eligible migrants and humanitarian entrants.
If you have been granted a permanent or eligible temporary visa and speak little or no English, you may be eligible for AMEP. In some instances, people between the ages of 15 and 17 may also be eligible. The AMEP has been improved to increase access for eligible migrants and humanitarian entrants in Australia with no or low levels of English.
Your visa start date will decide the time you have to join and learn English with the AMEP
You can stay in the AMEP until you reach a vocational level of English. You have no limits for starting and finishing the program.
You have time limits for registering, starting and finishing the program from your visa start date. Talk to us / contact us to find out more
